Cyprus

Vocational training, international education and programme development

Cyprus is part of an important stage in the regional and international expansion of my career. My experience there is linked to vocational training and education projects and programmes developed and managed within a regional network covering Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain and Cyprus from 2014 to 2020.

This experience differs from countries where I founded a company or had a direct operational presence: Cyprus is linked more to regional education and training projects, international cooperation and the development of professional programmes.

Vocational training and international programmes

A core part of the experience linked to Cyprus focused on vocational training and international educational programmes for individuals and professionals who want to develop their skills and become more job-ready.

The programmes covered areas related to:

  • Vocational and professional training
  • Management and skills development
  • Preparation for the job market
  • Professional capacity development
  • Continuing education and training
  • Personal and career development programmes

These activities were part of a regional model aimed at offering professional programmes in more than one market, with operating and marketing mechanisms suited to each country.

Programme and curriculum development

The experience also involved helping develop training programmes and curricula, including building the programme structure, setting learning objectives, developing content and choosing suitable delivery methods.

This reflects experience that goes beyond delivering courses to helping design and develop the educational and training product itself, so it can be used across different markets and institutions.

Operations and programme management

Responsibilities within the regional projects included running training programmes and managing their delivery.

This involved coordinating trainers, learners and institutions, organising schedules and programmes, following up on activities, and supporting an operating model that allows training to be delivered across a network operating in several countries.

The value of this kind of experience lies in building the ability to manage cross-border programmes rather than working in a single market.

Education marketing and market development

Education marketing was one of the elements of this stage, especially in bringing professional programmes to different markets and attracting learners and institutions.

The work included developing programme offers, defining target segments, communicating with clients and trainees, and supporting the expansion of programmes into new regional markets.

It sits at the intersection of education, business development and marketing — a recurring theme in my professional experience.

Digital learning

This stage also coincided with growing interest in digital learning and modern training methods.

The work included developing educational models that could be delivered more flexibly, and using digital tools to manage content, communicate with learners and support programme delivery.

This track was an important foundation for my later move towards digital platforms, e-learning and more advanced training technologies.

Regional and international cooperation

My experience in Cyprus is linked to a regional training project, Stanford College, as part of a set of activities and markets in 2014–2020.

The main value of this stage is the experience of managing and developing international, cross-border educational and professional programmes — not the name of the organisation alone.

Cyprus in my international expansion

Cyprus is a station within a phase that broadened my experience from local work to managing regional and international educational programmes and projects.

This stage helped me develop experience in:

  • Working with different markets
  • Developing programmes that can scale internationally
  • Coordinating organisations, trainers and learners from more than one country
  • Managing and marketing educational services
  • Developing flexible training models that can move between markets

The Cyprus experience is thus part of a wider track in international education, vocational training, programme management and cross-border cooperation.
