Tunisia

Training, consulting and market development

Tunisia is one of the recent regional stations in my career; my professional connection with it began in 2025 through cooperation with a Tunisian vocational training institute.

My role focused on marketing and professional consulting to help the institution develop its activity, improve its programmes, and study opportunities to expand into new markets within North Africa and beyond.

Consulting for training institutions

One of the most important aspects of the Tunisian experience is working with a training institution to develop its business model and programmes from a professional and marketing perspective.

The consulting covered aspects such as:

  • Assessing training programmes and services
  • Improving how training offers are presented
  • Studying target audiences and markets
  • Developing marketing messages
  • Improving the institution’s business model
  • Proposing pathways for expansion beyond the local market
  • This reflects experience that goes beyond delivering training to developing the training institution itself

Developing training programmes and products

The experience also included work on concepts for training and professional programmes that can be offered or marketed in more than one market.

This kind of work is about understanding the needs of learners and institutions, and then developing a training programme or product that can be adapted to each country and target audience.

It usually includes:

  • Defining the target group
  • Building the programme structure
  • Developing content
  • Choosing the delivery method
  • Proposing a pricing model
  • Studying whether the programme can scale regionally

Expanding from Tunisia to Morocco and Africa

An important part of the consulting focused on exploring expansion opportunities towards Morocco and African markets.

This track involves studying how an institution or its programmes can move from a local scope to a wider regional one, through:

  • Studying new markets
  • Identifying the right programmes for each market
  • Analysing cooperation opportunities
  • Building relationships with potential partners
  • Developing models that can work across several countries
  • This links the Tunisian experience clearly to market development and the international expansion of educational and training institutions

Expanding towards Middle Eastern markets

The plan was not limited to North Africa; it also included preparing concepts for international programmes that could be offered or marketed in Middle Eastern markets.

This is an important aspect of the experience, because it connects a training institution in Tunisia with demand for professional and training programmes in other Arab markets.

It reflects an ability to work in both directions: from North Africa to the Gulf and the Middle East, and from Arab markets to wider regional cooperation networks.

Marketing consulting for training

The Tunisian experience differs from conventional training because it focuses more on how the institution and its training programme are developed and marketed, not just on delivering a specific course.

This includes work on:

  • The institution’s market positioning
  • Developing training offers
  • Defining target sectors
  • Improving marketing messages
  • Developing channels to reach clients
  • Building plans for international expansion
  • This reflects an intersection of education + training + marketing + business development

Developing educational and training institutions

This experience supports my position in the development of educational and training institutions, especially in growth and expansion.

Rather than treating the institution as just a course provider, it is seen as a business model that needs:

  • A clear training product
  • A target market
  • A marketing plan
  • An operating model
  • Potential partners
  • An expansion strategy
  • This kind of work represents experience in institutional development and training business development

Building cooperation networks between North Africa and the Gulf

The Tunisian experience also stands out for its ability to connect Tunisia, Morocco, African markets and the Middle East.

It reflects experience in building cooperation networks between institutions from different regions, and in trying to turn local programmes into training products that can spread across several markets.

Tunisia in my regional experience

Tunisia is a specialised experience in my international career, because it brings together:

Consulting + institutional development + vocational training + marketing + market development + regional expansion
