The Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the stations of my expansion in the Gulf. My work there centred on education and vocational training, educational consulting, programme development and the management of training activities, as part of a regional reach that covered several markets in the Gulf and the wider region.
In 2017 I set up an educational consulting and services business in Bahrain, focused on delivering training and professional programmes with an international character, and on managing and running educational activities and professional-development programmes.
Education and vocational training
A central part of my Bahrain experience was developing and delivering vocational and professional training programmes for individuals, professionals and the private sector.
The work covered topics related to:
- Management and professional skills development
- Readiness for the job market
- Employability
- Personal and career capacity development
- Education and vocational training
- Educational programmes tailored to the needs of institutions and learners
This stage drew on earlier experience in running training centres and designing professional programmes, applied in a more diverse Gulf and regional environment.
Regional training projects
Bahrain is also part of a wider track of regional training projects in 2014–2020, which covered Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain and Cyprus.
Within this framework, I helped develop and manage professional and educational programmes, with responsibilities covering operations, marketing, digital learning, programme and curriculum development, and educational consulting.
The work also involved managing relationships with trainers, clients and institutions, and developing operating models that make it possible to deliver training programmes in more than one market.
Operations and education marketing
My experience in Bahrain was not limited to delivering training; it extended to the operational and commercial side of educational and training institutions.
This included:
- Helping develop programme operating plans
- Designing training offers and services
- Coordinating relationships with trainers and specialists
- Supporting the marketing of professional programmes
- Developing models for delivering education and training
- Bringing elements of digital learning into training programmes
This side is an important part of my professional experience, because it combines management, education, marketing and operations rather than treating training as a separate activity.
Digital learning and programme development
This stage also saw a focus on developing digital learning and training content, working on programmes that help learners acquire the professional and practical skills the job market needs.
The work included developing programme and curriculum concepts, improving the learner experience, organising the delivery of training content, and consulting on the development of educational and training institutions.
It reflects a gradual shift from simply running courses to building, designing and managing more integrated training systems.
International cooperation in training
The Bahrain stage is also linked to international and regional training projects and programmes. My executive CV refers to Stanford College in this regional context.
Bahrain in my Gulf expansion
The Bahrain experience is part of a phase of professional expansion across the Gulf and the region that brought together education, training, consulting, operations, marketing and professional programme development.
This stage strengthened my experience of working with different education markets, developing programmes for individuals and institutions, and coordinating trainers, partners and clients within cross-border business models.
