Oman

Training, artificial intelligence and virtual reality

My experience in the Sultanate of Oman is linked to education, vocational training and technology consulting, with a particular interest in using artificial intelligence, virtual reality and new technologies to develop education and vocational qualification programmes.

This experience included providing consulting and proposals to technology and educational bodies and institutions in the Sultanate, to develop training solutions and programmes in line with digital change and the needs of education and training institutions.

Educational and technology consulting

An important part of the activity in Oman focused on educational and technology consulting on how to integrate technology into training and education, and on developing models and programmes able to use AI and virtual reality to build more interactive learning experiences.

This track extends my broader experience in developing digital learning and vocational training, directed towards the needs of universities, institutes and educational institutions in the Omani market.

Cooperation linked to Sohar University and the University of Nizwa

I worked on training solutions and programmes linked to Sohar University and the University of Nizwa, focusing on new technologies, artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

This work involved developing concepts and programmes that can support university education and vocational training, and connecting academic content with future skills and practical applications of technology.

Artificial intelligence in education

AI in education and training is one of the core areas of the Omani experience.

The vision included developing ideas to help educational institutions use AI in:

  • Developing educational and training content
  • Supporting the learner experience
  • Developing digital teaching methods
  • Strengthening future skills
  • Preparing training programmes more closely linked to job-market needs

This direction complements my broader regional experience in using AI in education and training and in building institutional capacity.

Virtual reality and immersive learning

Alongside AI, the experience included ideas and consulting on using virtual reality and immersive technologies in education and training.

Possible applications include simulation environments, virtual training experiences and interactive educational presentations, allowing students and trainees to engage with content in a more practical and realistic way.

This track extends my experience in VR/XR projects and MetaLife Metaverse, directed towards university education and vocational qualification.

Vocational training and qualification

My experience in Oman also extended to communication and coordination with vocational training institutes and institutions to develop vocational qualification programmes and concepts.

This kind of work focuses on designing programmes that combine traditional professional skills with modern digital skills, helping trainees prepare better for the needs of a changing job market.

My role included proposing concepts for developing training programmes, structuring content, and introducing technology, AI and virtual reality into training and qualification programmes.

An experience combining education and technology

The experience in Oman reflects a side of my career based on linking education, vocational training, technology and digital transformation.

Unlike some countries where my experience involved founding companies or directly managing large projects, the Omani experience stands out for its focus on consulting, programme development, building educational and technological ideas and solutions, and institutional cooperation.

This kind of experience is an important part of my regional work in supporting educational and training institutions and helping them explore applications of AI, virtual reality and new technologies in education and capacity-building.
