Türkiye is one of the important stations of my experience in consulting, business development and feasibility studies. My connection with the Turkish market dates back to 2014, through investment and trade files developed for investors and businesspeople in the Gulf.
This experience differs from the education and training track that characterises some other countries: the Turkish experience is focused more on investment, industry, trade, feasibility studies and developing cross-border trade relations.
Consulting and feasibility studies
Preparing and studying investment opportunities was one of the core themes linked to the Turkish market.
The work involved analysing project ideas, studying commercial and operational aspects, estimating implementation requirements, and helping investors form an initial view on the feasibility of entering the market or developing a commercial or industrial activity in Türkiye.
This stage reflects experience in linking investment with market research, operational planning and business development.
Clothing manufacturing projects
I worked on files related to establishing or developing clothing factories in Türkiye, as part of consulting and investment feasibility work.
This kind of work involves studying a project from several angles, such as:
- The project idea and target products
- The market and potential segments
- Operating and production requirements
- The business model
- Sales and distribution channels
- Export opportunities to Arab markets
- The marketing and commercial aspects of the project
The importance of this experience lies in dealing with an industrial project in an international market and linking it to distribution and trade opportunities in the Arab region.
Import, export and international trade
My experience in Türkiye was also linked to import and export files and trade between Türkiye and Arab markets.
This included studying business models that make use of Turkish manufacturing capacity and products and link them to demand in other markets, as well as assessing commercial opportunities and building supply and distribution concepts.
This area is part of my broader experience in international business development and opening markets.
Supporting Gulf investors
An important part of the Turkish experience came from consulting for investors and businesspeople from the Gulf, especially within the investment files developed during my consulting work in Kuwait.
The role included studying opportunities, developing investment ideas, preparing initial project concepts, and helping understand how to connect Gulf capital with industrial and commercial opportunities in Türkiye.
This experience reflects the ability to act as a link between the investor, the market and the business opportunity, with a focus on developing a workable model rather than stopping at the initial idea.
Business development between Türkiye and Arab markets
The experience extended to an interest in developing Arab–Turkish trade and investment relations, whether by exploring cooperation opportunities or by taking part in trade and investment networks and events.
Linking consulting, trade and investment
The Turkish experience is a relatively different model within my career, because it clearly combines:
Consulting + feasibility studies + industry + international trade + business development
It helped extend my experience beyond education and training to investment, industrial and commercial projects that require understanding the market, developing the business model, studying feasibility and working with investors from more than one country.
Türkiye in my international experience
Türkiye is one of the markets that strengthened the international side of my experience in project development, investment and trade.
The importance of this station lies in dealing with real opportunities in productive and commercial sectors, and in studying how to turn an investment opportunity into a business model that combines production in one market with marketing and distribution in others.
The experience also reflects an ability to manage professional relationships between Türkiye, the Gulf states and Arab markets, supporting a broader path in business development and cross-border partnerships.
